Software Quality Specialist

Aheeva is seeking an expert in Software Quality Assurance to join its technical team. The candidate must have a professional experience in the QA field, especially in implementing automation testing and procedures. The candidate, with his exceptional analytical capability, must test and evaluate the different aspects of projects to ensure that the standards of quality are being met. He must be able to take responsibility for the quality of multiple projects simultaneously.

You will be working in a friendly and fun environment, in a small team where everyone around you, from developers to support personnel, are technically qualified to challenge your work and ask you some informed questions but are also available to work on supporting and integrating your code into the existing platform.

We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join the Software QA team. The Software QA specialist works on testing activities to ensure the quality and reliability of Aheeva software products. He will participate in all levels of project testing including usability, integration, system performance and user acceptance. This position reports to Team lead of Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing the system test plan and test cases and executing them.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and test frameworks to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Preparing the hardware and software requirements for the test setup.
• Tracking and reporting the testing activities, including testing results, test case coverage, required resources, discovered defects and their status, performance baselines, etc.
• Reproducing detected bugs.
• Running performance and load tests, and cross-platform.
• Writing and maintaining User Guides and System documentation.

Requirements:

• University degree in Software engineering or Computer science combined with minimum of 3 years’ experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• Excellent communication skills required to document and report on defects and other software issues.
• Good understanding of the test lifecycle, methodologies, and tools.
• Excellent Linux (CentOS CLI) and Windows experience, including shell scripting and automation.
• Excellent knowledge of MySQL and SQL commands.
  Experience with automation tools.
• Exceptional analytical skills with sharp eye for small details and potential problematic situations.
• Knowledge of NodeJS, PHP, SQL and of the virtualization and Asterisk platforms is an asset.
